In 2003 Douglas began to create simple fountains made from recycled copper tubing and brass and silver pieces collected from thrift stores and junk yards. From these humble beginnings his upcycled, kinetic musical instrument fountain contraptions have progressed into elegant works of art that are in collections worldwide.
